The European Parliament approved November 23, 2016 the new limits for selected emissions and air pollutants. For Member States resulting from this new commitments to reduce certain emissions in two stages - from 2020 and from 2030. For the Czech Republic based on commitments to the middle threshold in comparison to the commitments of other EU members. Prescribed emission reductions will be mainly sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, ammonia emissions and fine particulate matter (airborne dust).

The article describes the formation of various types of impurities (solid, liquid and gaseous) during the gasification of solid fuels. In each type of reactor (refer to article Gasification – principles and reactors) is produced different amount of impurities with different composition. In this article are described formation and chemical composition of the impurities.

Even so, it has its obvious specifics which are reflected not only in the construction and transportation of parts, but also in the length of the permitting process in proportion to the time of construction. At the level of the family living in the houses have increasingly promoted the combination of a new wood-fired boiler with a solar thermal system. Investors installations thus combined technologies monitor both reduce their energy costs and increase comfort and simplifies operation of facilities providing heat for heating and hot water.

Renewable energy support in the form of net metering had considerable impact on renewable energy expansion in the US. Despite its popularity it was also criticized as a threat to the earnings of energy companies and hence their ability to provide energy services. With growing installed capacity of photovoltaic systems, some states have decided to revise the policy of net metering.

Double-digit growth was expected according to the latest figures revises about 2/3 value, which still represents a significant strengthening of the production of wood pellets in the Russian region, but at a slower rate.

In late 2014 Photon Energy commissioned a unique solar PV storage project in Australia. Instead of feeding energy into the grid, the 39 kWp / 215 kWh power plant powers a radio broadcast tower. This article explains in detail the set-up of the hybrid PV system, which was designed to prove that renewables can be used for on-site production even for demanding customers. Which technology was used and why? After one year the authors examine production data to evaluate the system’s performance.

Czech Television aired May 30, 2016 report on substandard subsidized boiler and identified him as FD Automat by Slovak producer ATTACK, s.r.o.

Energy-efficient buildings research is one chapter of General Programme for Research and Innovation Horizont 2020 (2014 - 2020) which helps reaching the aims of european energy policy. First part of the article deals with characteristics of private-public partnership called Energy-efficient buildings (PPP EeB) that was founded for this purpose during previous General programme (2007 - 2013) and sums up projects PPP EeB supported in both programmes so far. Second part of the article deals with Czech participation in this programmes and describes topics of nearest Programme Hotizont calls for the year 2017.

Europe is the world's largest producer of pellets. In 2014 there were produced 13.5 million tons of pellets, which is roughly 50 % of total world production. This production shows steady growth over several years with an average growth of 35 % between 2010–2013 and 11 % from 2013 to 2014. Production in the EU market caters mainly to heat market.
